Festivals

Festivals of walking, food, literature and music

There are a few local walking festivals, but the most well-known is probably Crickhowell Walking Festival which takes place annually in March. We are half an hour's drive from Abergavenny with its annual Abergavenny Food Festival in September and we're also just half an hour from Hay-on-Wye, which hosts heavyweight names from the worlds of literature, the arts, music and politics (Bill Clinton caused a stir one year) at the annual Hay Festival.

Music fans will love the folky, alt-country, indie music at the Green Man Festival held at the Glanusk Estate near Crickhowell in August. For classical music lovers there's the Brecon Baroque Festival in October, while jazz fans head to Brecon Jazz every August which attracts world-famous jazz musicians.
