Welsh heritage within 30 minutes' drive

We're on the southern edge of the National Park and the nearby south Wales Valleys are brimming with industrial history. Visit Big Pit (Wales' national coalmining museum) and nearby Blaenavon World Heritage Site (birthplace of the Industrial Revolution) for a great day out.

If you like castles, there's impressive Raglan Castle (home to Henry Tudor during his youth) or Tretower Court and Castle near Crickhowell. And near Merthyr Tydfil there's Cyfarthfa Castle, Museum and Art Gallery. Find out about other castles and historic places in Wales – Cadw's website.
